The Safeline Detectamesh Tape - Caution Sewer Pipe Buried Below is a coloured orientated plastic mesh with a traceable stainless steel wire, laminated between the mesh and a printed polyethylene tape. The stainless steel wire acts as the traceable element that can be located by using cable and pipe locators by direct connection or induction in some locations. The laminated tape is printed with a warning message to warn future excavators of the danger beneath and the location of the pipe or cable.
