The Faithfull Hammer & Timber Wedges are designed for use in conjunction with the correct wooden handle when replacing damaged handles on hammers, axes and other striking tools. Each kit includes two malleable steel hammer wedges and one wooden wedge. When fitted correctly they provide a secure and safe attachment of a striking head to a wooden handle. These hammer wedges are not suitable for use with fibreglass replacement handles. Choose from the various kits to find the right wedges for the right striking tool. The FAIHW1N kit (Size 1) consists of: 2 steel wedges (12mm width), and 1 wooden wedge (17mm x 25mm), suitable for head weights: 4oz to 1lb. The FAIHW2N kit (Size 2) consists of: 2 steel wedges (15mm width), and 1 wooden wedge (25mm x 35mm), suitable for head weights: 1lb to 2.1/2lbs. The FAIHW3N kit (Size 3) consists of: 2 steel wedges (18mm width), and 1 wooden wedge (30mm x 30mm), suitable for head weights: 3lb to 7lbs. The FAIHW4N kit (Size 4) consists of: 2 steel wedges (21mm), and 1 wooden wedge (30mm x 40mm), suitable for head weights: 10lb to 28lbs. The FAIHW5N kit (Size 5) consists of: 2 steel wedges (18mm), and 1 wooden wedge (62mm x 65mm), suitable for axe heads of all weights.
